Timothy Everest Bespoke Casual Label

Our new Bespoke Casual Collection is a casualwear revolution, subverting yet again the tradition of Bespoke tailoring and pushing the boundaries of expectation. Taking inspiration from the East-end streets that surround our Elder Street Atelier, the collection is a fresh and modern approach to our craft, with emphasis on hidden detailing and striking internals.

With a monochromatic colour palette of blacks, midnight blues, french navys and greys, the collection is wearable and can be styled to suit every wardrobe or occasion.

Classic pieces such as the town coat and the pea coat take inspiration from the new film Nowhere Boy (the producer Douglas Rae is a client of ours). The film portrays the life of the young John Lennon in the early 1960s, offering a pure and modern look at the period. Our collection follows suit: the pea coat references the Donkey Jacket that Aaron Johnson wears as the young Lennon, and jackets with velvet laid-on collars and easy shaping are key to this story. Linings and trims create impact: ‘skinhead red’ is used as a focal point in the collection for internals, stitch detailing and shirting to create a real rock’n’roll vibe. Mick Jagger’s basted blazer - slim fitting, long in length and fabricated in a self-stripe wool - also became an inspiration for the collection.

Fabrics have the look of traditional formal suitings and jacketing, whilst retaining a light handle. The lightweight cotton/cashmere blends are perfect for layering under the heavier town coat during the Winter months and to take into Spring. A lightweight flannel Peacoat in brilliant french blue commands attention with its vibrant red lining, whilst being light enough to look casual and understated.

The collection is available to purchase now, and can be viewed by appointment at our Elder Street Bespoke Atelier. Contact Lee Rekert on 020 7377 5770, or email bespoke@timothyeverest.co.uk.

Blackman Cruz

Timothy was introduced to Adam Blackman and David Cruz a while back and was struck by their sublime shop in LA. The wonderful interior and interesting product ranges show their great eye for detail, with the store being more like a modern ‘curiosity shop’. It was suggested that we organise an ‘at home with Timothy Everest’ evening, and our collaboration was celebrated at an event to showcase the collection in the store before Christmas. We hope the event is the start of a fruitful relationship with Blackman Cruz, allowing the duo to extend their product range and services...watch this space! (www.blackmancruz.com)

Andrew Macpherson

During his recent trip to LA to showcase the collection, Timothy was kindly invited to have the range photographed by Andrew Macpherson. The celebrated photographer, originally from London and now based in LA, is renowned for his celebrity photography. His body of work includes profiles of some of the best-known people of our age including Charlize Theron, Reese Witherspoon and George Clooney, and covers for Rolling Stone and Vogue. Timothy would like to extend his thanks to Andrew for these brilliant images. (www.macfly.com)
