The Spitalfields flower

A Timothy Everest tie with the Spitalfields Flower motif, Timothy's logoTimothy Everest’s house logo is the Spitalfield Flower. An original design based on a repeat motif of a mulberry leaf, the Spitalfield Flower was created by the Huguenot Silk Weavers in the early 1800s.

Huguenots, as they were known, were French Protestants who worked in the silk industry near Lyon and fled to Spitalfields during the 17th Century to take refuge from the Catholic King Louis XIV.

Spitalfields, being the home of our Bespoke Atelier and the birthplace of Timothy Everest fine tailoring, makes the Spitalfield Flower a fitting design to represent our brand’s heritage.
