BROOKS
Creative Consultant: 2010 to date
Timothy Everest has teamed up with BROOKS – esteemed makers of the finest cycle saddles and accessories. The result is a fantastic cycling jacket launched in early 2011 at the Bread & Butter trade show in Berlin. Bearing the name of BROOKS founder John Boultbee, the Criterion jacket is now available online and from various international retailers. Made in London, the jacket is beautifully finished and constructed in the highest quality fabrics which have water repellent properties. Timothy Everest has brought his tailoring experience to the project resulting in attention to fit, construction and detail of this highly functional jacket.
Featuring a variety of cycling-specific components (such as a wide front closure for wind and rain protection, large bellow pockets, a shooting back for ease, reflective strips for visibility, and fitted wool rib inner cuff to protect hands when in action) the jacket has been developed for the discerning cyclist, who doesn’t necessarily want to look like a cyclist. Lined in a Boultbee-signature tweed, the jacket also features poppers, rivets, buckles, zips, and D-ring clips all specifically developed for this collaboration, and hand-treated in London to give a copper finish.
The ladies version of the Criterion won a prestigious award at the 2011 Eurobike trade show in Munich:
